Installation of Eye-One Match and other calibration software on a Windows OS

When installing Eye-One Match, an unnecessary startup shortcut may be installed. The same problem may occur when installing other calibration software as well. Please be aware of the problem when installing any calibration software.

Applicable Monitors: ColorEdge Monitors

1. Problem

When Eye-One Match is installed on a PC running a Windows OS, a Logo Calibration loader shortcut is installed in the startup folder. When calibrating with Eye-One Match, this application reads the LUT (Look Up Table) of the video card. As a result, the calibration results can be affected.

2. Countermeasure

Delete the Logo Calibration loader shortcut in the folder; [My computer] – [Local disc (C)] – [Documents and Settings] – [All Users] – [Start Menu] – [Programs] – [Startup], then restart Windows.

Mac OS does not have this problem since it does not make this kind of shortcut.

3. Other Calibration Software

The same problem occurs when installing other calibration software including Adobe Gamma and Monaco OPTIX on a PC running Windows OS. A shortcut to the LUT of a video card is added in the startup folder during the installation process. Please delete the relevant shortcut to prevent any effects on the system.
